I'm going to London until April and I'd like to have the best experience possible. Any suggestions? What is your best advice for college students studying abroad?
Bring cash, not stuff.
Actually, bring an Interac licensed bank card or open an account at HSBC. Then you can draw money at any London ATM from your account at home. You need to ask to your bank about the fee. (Seriously, no one but Americans use traveler's checks. They are not worth the hassle.)
Just enjoy the moments, even when it is difficult. What is your best advice for college students studying abroad?
Learn about culture shock before you get there and learn about how the culture in London will differ from your culture.Look here for more info:

If you're planning on using American bank funds, I'd advise a credit card/bank that doesn't charge exchange rate fees, especially in England! Most charge 3-5% on top of the ridiculous exchange rate from pounds to dollars.
I know for a fact that Capital One (credit cards and banks if you can find them) don't charge an extra fee. You can even get a PIN for the credit card in order to get a cash advance withdraw from an ATM. Then you can just pay if off online with your American bank account.
London, well, it is a pretty big city, get to know your way around, i would get to know the underground pretty well, because thats basic info, know the streets where you are living, get to know the university campus
Just enjoy it, you will get used to it
ooh i would get you head around our money first
=)
And welcome to England
