I was charged with reckless driving in the state of VA recently. I was clocked in at 81/55 mph zone. This is in Caroline County also (yes pretty dumb of me). I had no idea about the charges of reckless driving in VA since I live in Maryland. It was my first time ever driving in VA. But anyway I was pulled over and the cop told me if you appear in court the judge will order you to take a driving class of your choice, a court fee and a lesser charge. This is my first offense and am just wondering since I will be representing my self, should I plead guilty to ';improper driving'; (speeding charge) and plead not guilty to reckless driving? or any other considerations? thank you am 20 years old by the way. What is the best advice to prevent from get rid of a reckless driving charge?
I say be a man and own up to the responsibility of your choices. Plead guilty.
Let's face it, 81 in a 55 is CRAZY.What is the best advice to prevent from get rid of a reckless driving charge?
i just got the same charge, in the same county.... what exactly did u plea?
Take the class and the lesser fee. A reckless driving charge could come back to haunt you in insurance, employment, etc.
