Also did it shape your life in anyway? How much value did that advice hold and how appreciative of it were you?What is the greatest piece of advice someone has ever given you?
Great question by the way.... the best advice i received was from a complete stranger in a bar of all places, we were having a sort of deep conversation, and the topic of inner instinct came up. and since then, i always trusted it, and think back to that very conversation. he told me, you know when you are unsure about something or someone, and that little butterfly or nervous feeling comes over you?? ALWAYS TRUST THAT. and i cant stress that enuf. especially to all the woman out there who feel something wrong about their guy??? if you get that feeling ever........... dont ignore it.... it is your inner compass and its trying to get thru to you....... willfull ignornce is also bliss.... so if you choose to ignore it, your choice, but you will learn your lesson.
again, this is not just about unfaithful partners, that was just an example, it could be for anything..... any major life decisions, a move, a job promotion, a person you just met and arent sure of for whatever reason..... listen to that inner feeling..... and trust it because its yours and no one.... can take that away from you...... its the only thing you truly own.... think about it.........What is the greatest piece of advice someone has ever given you?
';Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.';
I've realized no ones perfect. But when you learn from your mistakes, and your misfortunes, you actually 'rise' in the sense of being more educated, more cautious, and more learned, more experienced. You know that you are not going to make that mistake again, or be more careful, or well prepared for the future no matter what happens! SO, this saying does hold true for all at all times!
First and Last Love is Self Love.
The quote speaks for itself. What I took from it is that no matter what I searched for that i believe would make me happy - unless I love myself unconditionally: Strengths, weaknesses, likes and dislikes, I would never be able to find unconditional love with anything I crossed paths with. With unconditional self-love you see life through a clear set of eyes.
';you can get another wife (partner, spouse) if you lose the one you have, but you can never replace a Mom. Mom's love is THE REAL LOVE';.
I am thankfull to have listened to this one. because it saved me from a lot of unecessary hurt and despair.
F*ck it
Yeah because I stopped worrying so much about everything and began to look at all the positives in life. After all you are only here for a few years so there is no point spending them worrying. Very appreciative of it every day
:)
';There is no peace, without war';
Gave me the balls to actual defend myself for once ^_^
And I plan to think of that quote, whenever i feel the need to fight back. I probably won't make it through all of life without this.
The unexamined life is not worth living - Socrates. Nothing worth doing is easy, but this advice is invaluable if you want happiness on more than a superficial level.
You can always get more money but you can't buy more time,
Not exactly Socrates, but it still rings true.
Enjoy yo'self.
