What is the best piece of advice you could give to someone wanting to sell on e-bay?

Not as a serious full-time seller, just for someone who's trying to get rid of a few things. Not sure if this is the right category to post this question??

Thanks! What is the best piece of advice you could give to someone wanting to sell on e-bay?
I was in a similar situation. I just wanted to get rid of a few clothes my son had outgrown. Ebay as several tutorials available but here is the short version...search items similar to what you want to sell that have been completed (meaning the item has been sold). Then check out the descriptions and selling prices. This is the best way to move your stuff. Sell it the way it has been sold before.

Other than that, just follow the easy step outlined for you. Make sure you have complete and accurate descriptions as well as good photos. Good luck.

I hope the link works below. It should straight to the selling page for ebayers. What is the best piece of advice you could give to someone wanting to sell on e-bay?
Just sell your stuff. You won't get ripped off. Me and my dad have been using eBay for years and never got ripped off. People are too scared to get a bad feedback or get their account deleted or something.

What my dad does is that he makes sure the guy sends the money first, then he will ship the item. It's just like a store, you give the clerk your money, then you can have your item.

Oh and make sure you have a picture! Your item will sell a lot faster.

Well... Have fun selling!!! lol.
Go to the Sellers Central discussion boards on ebay.com and read the first 20 pages of topics and the discussions of those topics.

Then read the first 10 pages of any other discussion boards that you think will help.

ebay is no longer for amateurs. You need to learn what you're doing.
I would list it on e-bay with a picture if possible. That sometimes works. I may post my house on e-bay.
