After living in Edmonton for most of the 70's, 80's and into the 90's, I moved my family to the Moncton area. Best move I could have made. My youngest boys are fluently bilingual, and go to a nearby french school. I live about a 40 minute drive from Moncton, great area in summer, winters are not too bad. Lots of work(not quite like Alberta) but great schools, low crime rates. I loved my years in Edmonton but housing prices are ridiculous compared to here. good luck with your move and don't forget to keep all receipts of your move, makes a great tax deduction.Looking for advice on living in moncton nb.as we might be relocating from edmonton?
What do you need to know? Moncton is called the ';hub city'; due to transportation connections with the Maritimes and the rest of Canada. It's a rapidly growing area, plenty of shopping and recreation. Housing prices and rents are far below those in Alberta. Quite close to good beaches and parks. It's bilingual and has a university.
